18K Georgian ring with a cushion cut oval approx. 4 carat topaz center stone flanked by 2 old mine cut diamonds on each side. The diamonds total approximately 1/2 carat. This is a hand forged Georgian ring and the star of the show, the topaz, is encased in a gold surround. A charming detail of 3 "pie crust" indentations in the gold can be seen at the top, bottom and repeated along the sides. The topaz sits about 5 mm above the finger. The combination of the clear yellow-gold topaz flanked by the cooler silver set diamonds is beguiling. The oval topaz stone runs North-South effectively lengthening one's hand. The ring can be worn everyday but note that like many Georgian rings, it is closed back so we urge caution when hand washing. Sizing: 7.5 US Weight: 3.6 grams. The face of the ring measures .5 inches or 1.3 cm across. The height of the large topaz stone is also .5 inches (1.3 cm). The width of the topaz stone is approximately ⅓ of an inch or 8 mm.
