This ring is unusual in that in represents many Victorian motifs; the love knot, the serpent (symbolizing eternal love), and the twisted band on each side is another version the love knot. The love knot dates to antiquity, symbolizing love, friendship and affection. The simple knot, lacking a beginning, middle or end, evokes the eternal connection and unbreakable bond between two people. The rose diamond studded snake head is the proverbial "icing on the cake" on this interesting and unusual hallmarked Victorian ring. US size 5 3/4.
