A wonderful chain to add to your wardrobe, this Albert curb link chain has a round matching bolt clip and dog tag (both with alternating platinum and gold) so you can clip on your favorite gold or silver pendant or two, and change them out as frequently as you choose. "Albert" chains are a style of watch chain named after Prince Albert and were worn by both men and women in the 19th and early 20th century. Platinum wasn't used for jewelry until the late 19th century, so that helps us date the Albert chain to around 1900. This chain is particularly wonderful because of the addition of the 2 color dog tag AND the 2 color bolt clip, both of which you would never be able to find independently in this wonderful 2 color design. All the parts of the chain are original, intact, and in perfect condition, which is unusual to find in antique jewelry. The chain is 20" long and an 1/8 of an inch in the width of its links.
