Substantial 14 carat ring with hand-carved stylized gold flower and leaf forms, curlicues and ornamental gold balls arrayed between semi precious gemstones; peridot, moonstone, amethysts, pink tourmaline, chrysoberyl and a cabochon amethyst pointing up at the center. Every other stone in the radial formation is en cabochon while alternating stones are old cuts. The ring is open backed with a tall crown so that it sits about 5 mm or more off the finger. The center amethyst sits high off the finger (see photos).
Our ring is characteristic of rings from the 40's; large, dramatic, and bold. Close-ups of the many hand carved details are shown in the photos.
The ring is marked 585 for 14 carat and is a size 7.
