Our sterling silver curb link Albert chain with moveable T Bar and 2 dog clips is a classic l chain that looks wonderful on. The moveable T Bar can be displayed prominently to the front, casually hung to the side (as shown in photos) or tossed behind your neck unseen. Each sterling link is marked with a lion passant (the "walking" lion and is a clue to its English provenance. The chain is hallmarked for the year 1909 and is a nice wearable length of 18" long. Alberts, as they are known, were named for Queen Victoria's husband Albert who popularized the wearing of a vest with pocket watch and fob connected to chain with watch in the vest pocket, with the fob and T Bar dangling and ready for use in stamping documents (T Bar was simply decorative).
This sturdy chain requires no special care and can be worn even in the shower. A great addition to your jewelry collection.
