Enrique Ledesma was a silversmith who trained in the famous artist's colony in Taxco under William Spratling, the well known jewelry designer in the early 20th century. He opened his own workshop in 1950 and is known for his beautiful and blending of stone with silver. These cufflinks have a stylized dove carved from silver and set on obsidian using the "overlay" technique. The cufflinks are proper mirror images. Bullet back closures, which rotate 360 degrees on their hinge, ensure the cufflinks will fit any size button hole. A great pair of substantial cufflinks by a famous modernist jewelry silversmith, not to be missed.
