Lovely pair of Victorian Vauxhall glass teal mirror glass earrings set in metal. The Vauxhall glass Company manufactured mirror glass in the 19th century and in a burst of innovation one can only behold with astonishment today, they employed jewelry artisans to make mirror glass jewelry with the shards. Vauxhall Glass jewelry proved immensely popular and was offered for sale to courting couples in the London pleasure gardens. The jewelry came in different styles and forms, but it the teal color of these earrings is unusual. Approximately .75 inch in diameter as shown in photos, with a flat profile. A perfect pair of earrings to wear to all your daytime functions. The earrings glimmer beautifully in indoor or daytime light.
