Lovely Victorian floral motif pique hinged bangle bracelet. Pique is tortoise shell inlaid with gold and silver. It was brought to England by the Huguenots at the end of the 17th century. It reached the height of its popularity in the 1870s and 80's. This wonderful example will be great to wear day or night. It measures 7/8" wide. The interior measurements are 2 1/8" by 2".
Unique gilt metal collar is stunning worn day or nite. Seldom do we find Victorian jewelry in its original form clearly marked with its date of manufacture. This collar has a distinct registry mark indicating it was made May 28, 1875.
