Dramatic Victorian triple hoop pique earrings inlaid with gold and silver. The tops have a floral motif while the hoops are geometric. Pique work, tortoiseshell inlaid with gold and silver, was brought to England by the Huguenots who fled religious persecution by the French in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Earrings are 2 1/2" long and 7/8" at their widest.

It reached the height of its popularity in the 1870s and 80's. This wonderful example will be great to wear day or night. It measures 7/8" wide. The interior measurements are 2 1/8" by 2".
