Rare Victorian Shakudo long guard chain. Shakudo is a mix of metals including gold copper and bronze and is Japanese in origin. Shakudo jewelry was introduced to the West in 1886 thanks to Commodore Perry who arranged for Japanese decorative arts to be imported to a very eager western market.
